I did like this film, but there were a few thing I didn’t like. The annoying voice over telling me things that all ready made sense, the retarded video game reference throughout seemed to only take away from the movie, and the spelling out of what happened to all the characters just was unneeded. otherwise it was a decent flick. Watch Donnie Darko instead.
In the whole film there is one real child, who is sensitive and romantic and naive (as real children are) and this Ralph Fiennes’ Michael Ebbs, who likes dolphins, has an open and very sweet smile and believes at least in anything, while the other ‘children’ are full with adult problems : drus, sins etc. What a pity! (because it’s true).
I’m glad you got that, as I think it was a point that was maybe lost on the larger audience.
