For years I thought Tony P. Leader of the disco Boys was actor Keither Sutherland, but while making this posting I discoverd its actualy Eddie Izzard.

I’m a sucker for this movie, too, though it’s pretty uneven (and sometime just plain bad). Wes Studi’s Sphinx character kills me, and Eddie Izzard is always great. Love the take on the failed superhero from Kinnear, too.
and lets not forget the brilliance that is
1. the PMS Avenger &
2. The Waffleman (complete with his own maple thruth sryup)
My favourite quote from the movie goes something like: Hang on boys, we’re on a date with Destiny and she just ordered the lobster!
The directors track is an interesting listen, too.

This film was so close to becoming an amazing cult classic….sooooooooooo close.
It was guilty fun, like you said, but if they had upped the camp level just a bit it could have soared into Princess Bride territory.
