I Heart David Lean, but this had some drawbacks for sure. There were strange scenes pasted into the film, just to have incredible shots. In one scene they had two characters stop their car, and get out just to look at the mountains….just to look at the mountains. WEIRD! Alec Guinness seemed really out of place as a Hindu stoic. I think they were going for comedy relief, but why have that in a serious drama?
Beautiful, good story, had weaknesses.!
Also, look at the poster for this film. They not only have left off the second most vital person in the film, they didn’t even include his name on the top? What is up with that! VICTOR BANERJEE… I want to scream it from the roof tops…. How can you not have his dam name and picture, while including the retardedness of Alec Guiness’s bit part!!!!
ARrrgghghgg

Serenity now!!!!
OOoMmmmmmmmm
Can’t go wrong with David Lean.
