Sober Second Thoughts
I have had both the privilege and misfortune to have seen 45 different films in the theater this year. Most are new releases, some are very old. I try to write a review for every theater release I see. The year is more than half gone, so I though now would be a good time to look at my reviews and see if I thought of them differently now.
In Bruges - I gave it a 7.5/10 but even though I didn’t like the film nearly as much once Ralph Fiennes came to town, I think I would put it up to an 8. All the relationships with Colin Ferrel’s character were great.
Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay - Originally I gave it a passing grade with a 5/10, but other than Neil Patrick Harris the film had non of the charm the first had. Down Grading to a 4/10
Wall-E - gave it a 6.5/10, I think I will gib=ve it a bump to a full 7. It was really good, at least the first half was.
Hellboy 2 - gave it a 10/10…that’s what I get for writing the review in the parkinglot of the theatre, still high from a great film. Down to a 9.5/10
Jack Brooks - I have seen this a second time in the theatre, and it was even better the second time. I realized just how much I loved the some of the sound cues. 8 to an 8.5
