Ten Guilty Pleasures
The guilty parties responsible for “Invasion of the B Movies” are running a Guilty Pleasure Blogathon. So in the spirit of those films you love… but your co-workers look at you strange when you talk about them, here is my ten guilty pleasures
- Phil the Alien - Space Alien with severe drinking problem, a talking beaver friend, and a jesus complex- good canadian Sci-Fi
- Hudson Hawk - Cat burgler that times everything by singing old radio tunes.
- Barbarella - Cheesy, but I love it so.
- UHF - Stanley Spadowski’s playhouse. Where was that show when I was a kid.
- Buckaroo Banzai - Jeff Goldblum in western duds… sweet
- Return of the Killer Tomatoes - George Clooney’s finest hour!
- Logan’s Run - Sanctuary!
- Strange Brew - Take off eh!
- Death Race 2000 - Worst fight scene ever, featuring Sly Stalone, and David Carradine
- Commanders Log - Not a movie, but has played on Space channel in Canada. Think Red Dwarf, with a one room set, and basically no budget….AWESOME
Thats it. I have a lot of lesser known favorites, but I figure these are slightly more common fare.

Most of these aren’t my cup of tea but I do appreciate some of the great moments. Fabulous list!
I really do need to try Buckaroo Banzai again. I ended up turning it off after 15 minutes or so.

Buckaroo gets better…not much but better. The whole start of the film is there to explain just how supercool and brilliant, and popular Bucky is!

I am trying to stop using videoclips, as they tend to disappear overtime, and then I get emails about broken links. As for your sence of humor….working on it!
