Leeny’s Notes #10 Festival Season is Nigh!

Hello all,

If your reading this at the 353site (and not on rss feed), you will have noticed at once again i have changed the theme.  I have found a few faults that I am working on, but welcome any comments in regards to the site.

Festival season is at hand so in the coming couple of weeks you can expect alot of VIFF coverage. Once the VIFF is done it will then be time to gear up for the  TAD festival.

Stay tuned… Much is afoot.

  1. I’m curious to hear more about VIFF! It’s one of the fests I wonder if I’d ever attend considering how close in time it is to TIFF.

It’s rockin’ that you are coming to TAD! Zombies, vampires and superheros - oh my! It is truly one of the most fun festivals I have ever been to.

  2. I can’t personally compare VIFF to another large film festival, as VIFF is the only I have ever been to. From all I have read, and seen VIFF is a more a film fan friendly festival. The costs are lower than TIFF ($8 before 6pm, $10 evening (all films)), and less hoops to jump through to get tickets. Down side… Less big name celebrities, less films, and since this is Vancouver in Sept/Oct… Rain!.

VIFF is showing 300 different pieces this year, so how many films can you really watch in 2 weeks.

    As For Tad….

I am so freak’n excited about this festival. Maybe its partially do to getting to meet people I have only been following via review sites, going to TO for the first time ever (never been farther East than Gimli, finally getting to see ROM, Genre films (plural…Woot), or maybe just the fact I haven’t had a non-camping holiday since 2000.
