An absolutely jaw-droppingly brilliant film. If you haven’t watched Yamada’s superior The Twilight Samurai, do yourself a favor and do so!
I did enjoy this film, but I was surprised at just how little fighting there was in it. Much like a samurai film that is top heavy with fighting and little story, I felt somehow slightly cheated. Looking forward to Twillight Samurai, as I have had it zip-listed for a while. I think I may have to put it alittle closer to the top of the list.
